On this day fifty years ago, Detroit police raided the Algiers Motel on the pretense of searching for a sniper. Instead, they terrorized the guests there that night and killed three black teenagers: Aubrey Pollard, Carl Cooper and Fred Temple. This panel will talk about what happened that night, why justice was elusive, what it means and why it matters today.
