On Rosa Parks’s 100th Birthday, I spoke with Stateside (Michigan NPR) about the life and legacy of Rosa Parks. I joined them from the Rosa Parks celebration and National Day of Courage, at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. There we talked about Parks’ long history as a radical freedom fighter. She cut her political teeth defending the Scottsboro Boys in the 1930s and worked to gain freedom rights for decades in Alabama, Michigan and the United States as a whole.
